Billie Jean Grubbs Herrington
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee for Billie Jean Grubbs Herrington, 78, of Mount Olive who passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at her residence.
Reverend Raymond Jefcoat and Reverend Danny Dickerson will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee. Music will be provided by Daniel Herrington and Reverend Danny Dickerson.
Mrs. Herrington, a Simpson County native, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Siloam Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Alonzo Grubbs and Sarah Maude Millis Grubbs; one son, James Michael Herrington; four sisters; two nieces; and two nephews.
Survivors include her husband of sixty two years, James Harold Herrington of Mount Olive; three daughters, Kathy Herrington Carrell, and her husband, Dusty and Pamela Herrington Jones and her husband, Chris, all of Magee and Lisa Herrington Carrell, and her husband, Jeff of Mount Olive; one son, James Patrick Herrington and his wife, Lisa Joy of Magee; two sisters, Mattie Ruth Bridges of Pinola and Margaret Ann McAlister of Dallas, Texas; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.
