Jeanette Martin Crawford, 90 of Harrisville, Mississippi passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the Bedford Care Center in Mendenhall, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, June 24, 1933 in Pinola, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 06, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Olive, Mississippi. Bro. Greg Clemts and Bro. David Ware will officiate. Special music will be performed by Danny Way, Bridgitte Ishee, and Chris Dukes. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401.
Mrs. Crawford was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She loved basketball, gardening, and the outdoors. She had many talents when it came to baking, sewing, and especially talking.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Burnell Barnes; husband, Guy Crawford; daughter, Kay Hunter; parents, Leroy and Henrietta Hilton Martin; son-in-law, Johnny McKay; numerous brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Faye McKay of Braxton, MS and Rachel Berry (Larry) of Mendenhall, MS; grandchildren, Ashley Dukes (Chris), Jonathan McKay (Megan), Dylan McKay and Joel McKay; great- grandchildren, Layla McKay, Mallie Dukes and Lyla Dukes; son-in-law, Clay Hunter; brother-in-law, Gene Crawford (Bobbie); and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Roy Jennings, Lee Jennings, Timmy Jennings, Mickey Martin, Andy Martin, and Jay Young.
