Jannie Sue May, 89, of Pearl, Mississippi, died Sunday at her home Pearl, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, June 13, 1929.

She was a longtime member of Crossgates Baptist Church, where she served her Lord tirelessly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Mendenhall.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Mendenhall. The Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Claude Shufelt and Bro. Joe Metts will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

She was preceded in death by Albert May (Father), Lela May (Mother), brothers, RC May, James “Shorty” May, Sherlon “Dickie” May and Gloria Edwards (Sister).

Survivors include nephew, Doug May, Sr. (Nannette), James Fount and Ricky Edwards, nieces, Gloria Thomas (Ronnie), Sylvia Roberts and her lifelong friend Torris Lyle.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials may be made to Crossgates Baptist Church, One Hope Missions at 8 Crosswood Road, Brandon, MS 39042.
