Janice Marie Lee, 66 of Magee, MS passed from this life on Monday, July 31, 2023, at her residence. She was born Monday, January 14, 1957, in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Weathersby Baptist Church in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11:00am at Weathersby Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Good Water Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Maurice Bryant will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Mrs. Janice was a long-time member of Weathersby Baptist Church, where she served faithfully. She enjoyed collecting re-born babies, she had a love for children and caring for others. She never met a stranger and loved to talk. She radiated positivity wherever she went. She especially loved her paw baby, Dexter Lee. She had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She will forever be missed by her family and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wayne Lee; father, Aubrey Barr; mother, Winnie Louise Axton Barr.

Survivors include her nephews, Max Lee and Zachary Lee; niece, Amanda Lee-Smith; beloved Linda Kay Chestnut; and a host of cousins and loved ones.

Pallbearers will be Benny Blair, Aubrey Russell, John Earl Bowen, Joe McGovern, Tommy Adcox, and Zach Lee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Max Lee, Chris McLean, and Nick McLean.

Special music will be orchestrated by Haley Blackwell.
