Tish is a native of Magee, Miss. where she graduated as Valedictorian from Magee High School. She was a secretary and a member of Resurrection Life Worship Center.
In honor of Tish making the beautiful transition to heaven, we would like her to be remembered as a pastor’s wife of 47 years, a teacher of a ladies’ Bible study for 40 years, where she invested in ladies and equipped them to rely and run to the Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and a caring and giving friend.
She drew people in with her radiant smile and generous hospitality and always pointed them to Jesus.
Hers is a Celebration of a Life well lived. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Allen and Una McNair Allen; her husband, Rev. James W. Hickman; 1 brother, Raymond L. “Buddy” Allen; and 1 sister, Linda J. McLendon.
Left to cherish her memory is the legacy of her daughter, Jameye (Billy) Martin; and her sons, Andrew (Karen) Hickman and Rev. Allen (Amy) Hickman; 14 grandchildren, Micah (Emily) Hickman, Caleb Hickman, Hannah (Zach) Halliwell, Jacob (Krista) Hickman, Jonathan (Kayla Lee) Hickman, Benjamin (Catie) Hickman, Will Hickman, Samuel Hickman, Heath Hickman, Josiah Hickman, Elisha Hickman, Isaac Hickman, Nathan Hickman, and Matthew Hickman; 3 great-grandchildren, Alanna, Harper, and Seth Hickman; 3 brothers, W.H. “Bill” Allen, Charles L. (Winky) Allen, and Larry D. Allen; and 4 sisters, Barbara J. Allen, Ann A. Hawkins, Dorothy A. Harvey, and Patricia A. Powers.
She served God faithfully by willingly giving of herself. Now she is able to see her faithful Savior face to face. “Well done, good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of your Master.” Matthew 25:21. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for all of the expressions of love to all of the staff at Timeless Grace Assisted Living, Nanette Easterling, Pat Borulet, Jackie Kuzinski, Brenda Sullivan, and our Resurrection Life Family.
Contributions in honor of her life can be made to Manna Ministries, 120 Street A, Suite A, Picayune, MS 39466.
