Jane Ellen Darlene Cole

( March 11, 1963 – March 23, 2024 )

 Jane Ellen Cole, 61 of Magee, MS passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born Monday, March 11, 1963 in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Kennedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi.  will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Ellen lived with her niece Casey Parrett and her children for numerous years. She also had a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and other family members who she loved with all her heart. She loved horses and being outdoors and loved her country life. Ellen was a compassionate person and a blessing to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nuel Cole; parents, Robert Parrett, Sr. and  Mary Kline Bynum;  sister, Irene Parrett;  brother-in-laws, Billy Thurman and Lennis Cole.

Survivors include her brothers, David Parrett of Mount Olive and Robert Parrett, Jr. (Kathleen) of Morganza, LA;  sisters, Barbara Parrett Lopez (Michael) of Lake Charles, LA, Jewel Parrett Simmons (James) of Collins, Sherry Parrett Holbrook (Jackie) of Mendenhall, Brenda Parrett Thurman of Mendenhall and Betty Parrett Bankston (Red) of D`Lo;  step-father, Otis Bynum of D`Lo;  sister-in-law, Faye Sullivan Cole of Mendenhall.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Freeman, James Freeman, Dalton Freeman, Jackie Holbrook, Christopher Mize, Walter Griffin, and friends.
