Boswell Regional Center has announced that Jamie Prine of Magee has been named director of Mississippi Adolescent Center in Brookhaven. Mississippi Adolescent Care (MAC) is a satellite program of Boswell Regional Center.

Prine is currently director of ICF group homes for Boswell. She has been employed with Mississippi Department of Mental Health since 2001, beginning her career as an active treatment technician at Ellisville State School.

After transferring to Boswell in 2008 and serving as an academic teacher for six years, Prine was promoted to division director. She earned a nursing home administrator license in 2018 and was named to her current position in 2019.

Prine earned master’s and bachelor’s degrees in education from William Carey University.

Clint Ashley, director of Boswell, said Prine will be an excellent addition to the MAC team.

“While Jamie’s departure from and the loss of her knowledge and leadership abilities will be deeply felt at Boswell, I’m confident the individuals and families we serve at MAC will benefit immeasurably from her leadership,” said Ashley.

Prine said assuming the leadership role at MAC is the perfect move at this point in her career.

“I truly love our individuals, the communities we serve and the mission of Boswell,” said Prine. “However, leading MAC is an opportunity to grow my skills in another environment. Making the right decisions for those we serve has always been the focal point of my career and will guide me in this new endeavor. I will continue to be an advocate for our individuals at both centers.”
