James Wilson Floyd III, 46, of Magee passed away on July 2, 2017 at UMMC. While doing yard work, he had a seizure, fell and sustained a subdural subarachnoid injury. His ashes were spread in a private ceremony surrounded by his family. James was a 1989 graduate of Magee High School and received a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Mississippi State University.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Millard and Alna Yelverton and paternal grandparents J.W. and Sis Floyd all of Magee. He is survived by his parents Wilson and Carol Floyd, sister Angie Monk (Chris) and niece Olivia, as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed.
