James Randall Boykin at the age of 82 of Mize, Mississippi passed away on Saturday August 15, 2026. Mr. Boykin was born on April 14,1944.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in South Raleigh Christian Church Cemetery. Bro. David Hays will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.
Mr. Boykin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. An avid outdoorsman, he particularly enjoyed taking his grandchildren for rides on his side-by-side vehicle (Blue Machine). He had a deep love for the Smoky Mountains, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Majorie Westbrook Boykin; daughter, Tammy Meadows (Ricky); grandchildren, Samantha Puckett (Chris), Ryan Meadows (Whittney); several great-grandchildren; sisters, Mattie Smith, Irma Nichols, and Linda Alred.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kim Randall Boykin; parents, James Otto Boykin and Vallie Boykin; sisters, Cecil Ruth Blakeney and Lois Biglane.
Serving as pallbearers are: Todd Nichols, Terry Maner, Toney Maner, Mark Phipps, Chuck Meadows, Edwin Wilson, Steven Allen, and Dink Hutchinson.
