James Otis “Jaime” Miley, III
(September 3, 1975 – February 4, 2023)
James Otis “Jaime” Miley, III, 47 of Puckett, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Merit Health in Canton, Mississippi. He was born on Wednesday, September 3, 1975, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Jaime was a member of Puckett Baptist Church in Puckett, Mississippi. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend. He was a graduate of Puckett High School. He continued his education at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and his degree was in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He worked during the summer as a Disney Recruiter for USM. He was a former manager at Applebee’s, Houlihan’s, Walgreens, TGI Fridays, and Longhorn Steakhouse. His current employment was with Wendy’s.
He enjoyed working at a summer youth camp in New York, spending time watching movies and listening to music, operating computers, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Joe Hanks; step-grandfather, William Walters; and paternal grandparents, James Otis Miley, Sr. and Edna Lott Miley.
Survivors include his parents, James and Charlotte Hanks Miley of Puckett, MS; two brothers, Jonathan Miley and Josh Miley both of Puckett, MS; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Haney Walters of Sumner, MS; one nephew, Austin Miley of Puckett, MS; two nieces, Alyssa Miley of Hattiesburg, MS and Jordan Miley of Puckett, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Puckett Baptist Church, 6400 Highway 18, Puckett, Mississippi.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Puckett Baptist Church. Bro. John Rushing and Bro. Alvin Doyle will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
