He loved living life to the fullest. Enjoyed drinking a cold tall one with his nephews and everyone in the back 40. He loved playing poker and the guitar on weekends. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He was 100% American by birth and southern by the Grace of God. He was the kind of person who made sure a child ate before he did, he would give you the shirt off his back, would even give you the last dollar out of his wallet if he had it to spare. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, uncle, father, and friend to all who knew him. He will be forever loved and missed, but never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Hayes; sons, Tommy Lee Mason Hayes and Benjamin Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Hayes of Magee; mother, Florence Woodard; daughters, Tina Hayes and Katelyn Hayes all of Magee; granddaughter, Jayla Biggs; sisters, Faye Whittinghill (David) of Raleigh, Melissa Middleton (Emmett) of Center ridge, and Teresa Blakeney (Stuart) of Taylorsville; ex-wife, Deborah Pierce mother of his children; brother-in-law, Adam Middleton and host of nieces and nephews and friends.
