James Douglas Grantham left this world to be with Jesus on August 30, 2023. He was born May 29, 1955, to Lula and WJ Grantham in Kosciusko, MS.
In April of 1978, he married Judy Cooper, and they eventually made their home in Harrisville, MS. Doug retired from UPS after more than 35 years of service. He served as a Deacon, Sunday School, and VBS teacher at Harrisville Baptist Church for many, many years and was always glad to help friends or family. He loved to tinker on things and more than likely he could fix it.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Lulu and WJ Grantham, by his loving wife, Judy, and a brother, Ronnie.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Hanna; sons, Danny (Pam) Jones, David (Jennifer) Jones, and Jamie Jones; grandchildren, Haylee Huffman (Derek), Kade Jones, Kylie Jo Jones, Seeley Jones, Madison Broadhead (Joshua), Denver Jones (Karlea), Mackenzie Jones, Chesney Hanna, Keigan Hanna, and great-grandchildren Reid, Renlee and Banks.
Visitation For Doug will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Harrisville Cemetery with Bro. Gene Erwin and Bro. Rich Mayfield officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
