James Clinton Rutland, 78 of Collins, MS passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at his home in Collins, MS. He was born Sunday, July 13, 1947 in Simpson County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church at 1385 William Warren Rd  Collins, MS. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church in Collins, MS. Burial will follow in Blakely Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, MS. Bro. Stephen Bush will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse P Rutland;  mother, Emogene Duff  Rutland;  brother, Bobby  Rutland;  sister, Doris  Rutland  Puckett;  uncles, AC  Rutland and Gilbert  Rutland.

Survivors include his daughters, Mellie Lee Rutland and Amanda  Rutland  Anderson;  grandchildren, Natalie  Pace, Aiden  Anderson, Adeline Rutland, Asher  Anderson, James  Parker  Rutland and Alaina  Anderson;  brothers, Jesse  Richard  Rutland  (Martha), David Rutland (Linda); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Davie Joe Rutland, Michael Rutland, Calvin Jordan, Dewayne Rutland, Steve Rutland, John Thoms, Aiden Anderson, and Ty Rutland.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Parker Rutland and Asher Anderson.
