Jackie Lou Styron, 85, of Magee, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2018.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Goodwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee. Bro. Tommy May will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Overby and Lou Ella Bynum Overby; her husband, J.W. Styron, Jr. and 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Jackie is survived by sons, Jonathan Overby and William Joey, 4 grandchildren: Beverly, Jessica, Jon and Jana and 8 great- grandchildren.
Jackie worked alongside J.W. at their service station and bus station in Magee. After raising her sons and sending them off to college, Jackie began her career as daycare and kindergarten teacher at Magee First Baptist Church. This is what she was most known and loved for. She molded many young lives and had such an impact on them. She enjoyed sewing, thread count, ceramics, word search games and Bible study. Jackie was a great wife and mother but she was an even greater grandmother.
