Jack Wayne Austin, 73, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at in Brandon, Mississippi. He was born Monday, September 8, 1947, in Oak Grove, Louisiana.

A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, April 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Cemetery in Mize, Mississippi. Bishop O.  Hilton Austin will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mr. Austin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.  He served our country in the United States Air Force.  He enjoyed watching football games, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his loving family.  He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavada Austin; parents, John Austin, Sr. Edna Martin Craft; one grandson, Austin Elliott; six brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include his two sons, Jack Austin, Jr. (Noel Manning) of Brandon, and Billy Weems and wife, Ashley, of Brandon; two daughters, Tina Elliott and husband Charles of Madison, and Melissa Miller and husband Scott of Flowood; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Hilton Austin and wife, Lucille, of Columbia; one sister, Judy Fortenberry of Pearl; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Danny Manning, Cody Miller, Kevin Coon, Scott Miller, Charles Elliott, and Burt Dunaway.
