Mr. Glyn, the manager for twenty-three years (since 1993), is retiring!  I am so excited for Glyn!  He began working with the Piggly Wiggly in Collins  when he was 17 and worked in area “Pigs” until settling in Magee.

Ken Wilson is the new manager coming from the Wiggins Piggly Wiggly.

The weekend has been spent with “going away” and “thank you” parties for Glyn.  I can’t imagine not seeing Glyn when I shop!  I know Ken will do a great job…and we in Magee are excited to have Ken become a part of the Piggly Wiggly family.

Mr. Glyn has worked:  46 years

552 months

2,400 weeks

16,802 days

403-236 hours

24,184,100 minutes

and as his friends say….and the best is yet to come!

Thank you Glyn for your faithfulness to your company, to your employees, but mostly to your customers.  You will be missed.

Pictured are some of the employees of the Magee Piggly Wiggly.

Deli People with Glyn:  Vickie Floyd, Mischelle Luckey, Joan Williams, Beverly Pitts, Octavia West, Orlando Jones, Pat Wood and Javeal Autmon

Meat Market:  Victor Owens, Amy Ramshur, Wayne Lee, and Jason Terrell

New Manager and Bookkeepers:   Ken Wilson, Kandice McGill, and Renee Atkins

Cashiers:  D Caraway, Kathy Blair, Brandi Bynum, and Austin Amason

(I hope I didn’t slaughter these names to bad!!! I tried to gather the names but am unsure of some…all I can say…is each and every worker is tops!)
