The “day” is almost here for Magee to host the Bicentennial events….and we are starting with a bang!

Saturday morning, the parade begins at 10 AM on Main Street.  The Bicentennial Fair is from 9-3.  The parade will feature the Choctaw Indians plus local celebrities!  Following the parade, head to the newly renovated Community House (near First Baptist Church.). The Community House and Civic Center will house displays.  The Decade of Champions will begin around 11.  A tail gate party (just set up your tent or chairs) in front of First Baptist Church and enjoy the food from the food trucks!  Live music will be an all day event.  There is a Car Show, Chicken Show, Kid Zone, arts & craft vendors, and a cultural exhibit of the Choctaw Indians.  I”m just saying, plan to spend the day!

Sunday at the San begins at 11:30.  Plate lunches will be on sale for $5.  Several Boswell buildings will be open for tours—don’t miss the Sanatorium Museum!  At 1:30 at the Campus theatre will be a community wide sing.  Minnie Holloway is leading the event with “singers” from all over the county doing in the sing.

Wow!  This weekend is something!  Don’t miss this event.  We are going to have a great time and hope to see you there!
