The charming Southern Living style home is situated on an approximately acre corner lot. The home was built in 1908. Don’t let that date scare you! The home has all the amenities of a modern day home.

One of the most welcoming spots is the front porch complete with large wooden rockers ready for one to watch the world!

The large living area has bookcases and a gorgeous mantel which features Diane’s collection of antique Christmas carolers. I love the pocket doors between the living and dinning room. The spacious dinning room allows for a large table with ample room to accommodate 10 plus guests.

As with most houses, the kitchen is one of my favorite places! Diane is an excellent cook and the kitchen was made for cooking!

The kitchen features VIKING appliances and several seating areas.

The back of the home has a glass sun room which overlooks the large manicured yard. Raymond’s train is placed around the Christmas Tree in the Sun-room. The sun room opens to the two car carport. Actually, the house has a carport and a garage!

Most old homes do not have much closet space. Not true with the Johnson home. The master closet is unbelievable as are most of the other closets in the home.

Three bedrooms are located upstairs with one of the bedrooms serving as an office. The large original windows allow a constant flow of light.

Every space in the home is decorated for Christmas! Each room has its own theme and tree. The large upstairs hall provides the perfect reading nook. Every decoration in the Johnson home has a history. Raymond and Diane are long time collectors of Christmas items. They have beautiful decorations which you can see in the pictures and video.

For eighteen months, Raymond and Diane painstakingly refinished the home to their liking…not with the intention of selling. The desire to be closer to their children led Raymond and Diane to put this gorgeous home on the market.

The home is listed with Sarah Jones Real Estate in Brandon. For additional information, contact Sarah at 601-594-6158 or click here to view the Johnson home online.

When you are cruising Magee, put the Johnson home on your list! The front yard is beautifully decorated for Christmas, Your little ones will ohh and ahh at the lights of the Johnson home.

Merry Christmas from the Johnson’s, Sarah Jones Real Estate, and MageeNews.com.
