Wow, did ya’ll see the picture of the school bus and the on fire SUV on the home page or MageeNews.com Face Book page?  Reporter Jason Ratcliffe was going to Angela’s for pine straw…not so sure he got the pine straw! Jason drove up just after the wreck happened…emergency personal had not even arrived.  I told him he had a “Pulitzer” photo!  WJTV has already called for permission to use the picture!  What is so unreal is no one was hurt!  The driver of the SUV got out…the two children and bus driver were not injured.  After changing the tire, the bus was driven back to the bus barn.  What a scary scary situation. When I saw the picture, I started praying.  I was glad Jason was able to report that no one was injured…Jason did a great job keeping everyone updated.

A meeting was held Wednesday at the location for Love’s Truck Stop.

An Evening of Laughter, Macarons, and Good Friends

August 7, 2026

Everything is lining up and should be full speed ahead, shortly.  Love’s will employee about 25 people!  This is a major project for our city!  Dirt moving will began soon!…I heard there is a lot of dirt to be moved!

What don’t people understand about Burn Ban…do you not get it…don’t burn…don’t burn anything!  Tickets have been issued in the city and county.  Just Wednesday afternoon, another ticket was issued…burning…and the brush caught on fire!  The first offense is $500…the second $1,000 and up the ladder!

When there is a burn ban, don’t burn in a can…a fire pit…anything!
