On Tuesday, 10/29/2024, at approximately 10:20 PM, the Magee Police Department received a call about a reckless driver on Highway 49 entering the city.
Officers located the vehicle and made contact near the Shell Station on Hwy 49 at 10:24 PM.
During the course of the investigation, it became clear to the officer that the driver, identified as Robert Ital, was impaired and had an open container inside the vehicle. Ital was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI (1st Offense) and Open Container.

He was then transported to the Magee Police Department, where he was booked and processed.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
