Ila Frances Smith passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the age of 71.
She was born on August 13, 1947, to her parents, George Coleman and Helen Lyons Coleman.
Frances retired from a career as a Teacher’s Assistant at Mendenhall Elementary School in Mendenhall, MS. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Mendenhall. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Monroe Smith, Jr.; brother, Ray Chalk; sisters, Charlene Way and Gale Pittman.
Frances is survived by her sons, Chad Smith (Kellye Taylor), Jason Smith (Kelley Bridges); brother, Stanley Coleman; sister, Thelma Jean Coleman; five grandchildren, Hayden Smith ,Zane Smith, Sebastian Smith, Chase Smith and Lennon Smith.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral Services immediately following at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS. Bro. David Jager will officiate. Final resting place will be in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall.
