The Scriptural passage for today is found in James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given him.” We should all seek wisdom and discernment to help us make wise decisions. Remember that a person no less than Solomon prayed to God for wisdom to help him with decision-making as a ruler of his nation. I, too, pray for wisdom and discernment within my own, little realm. Let’s make the request a daily part of our prayer life. Our asking God for this gift rightly places Him in the position of giver and us as His children who realize the need for it. We need not wait til the end of our lives to ask for wisdom. Begin early and ask frequently. Amen!

Let’s get out there today and be sure to share the love, joy, and kindness with all those with whom we come in contact. God expects it of us. We are His emissaries and, as such, should always put our best foot forward. Amen!
