The Scriptural passage for today is found in Isaiah 42:16: “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths, I will guide them. I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.” The prophet of old is telling God’s chosen people, the Jews, the very words God has given him. For these promises, God expected His people to be obedient by placing their complete trust in Him.
Today, salvation has been made possible for all people, but God has not changed. He is the same from everlasting to everlasting. He still expects us, His children, to be obedient by placing our complete trust in Him. If we do, He will fulfill His promises. It is a covenant He holds with us. One He forged with us the moment we accepted Him into our hearts and lives. Let us always be mindful of our responsibilities in our covenant with God. To start our day, we can do our part through prayer and the reading of God’s Word; then, we can share more freely love, joy, and kindness with others to help lift and build them up.
Happy Wednesday!
