You know sometimes there are people who pass through your life…and stay in your life that you just love. Well, Lee Maddox is one of those people I just adore.

The same age as my youngest son Breck, I really can’t remember how Lee and I became such good friends. One year he salvaged a disastrous Christmas decorations I was attempting…and from there we just began to walk the walk of life together.

Friday, March 30th will be Lee’s last as a a Walmart employee. He has been with this amazing company over 21 years.

Below are the words from his precious wife Kim:

“He has been fully dedicated to this incredible company. Did you know he has called in sick 10 days, in his entire 21 years, while working at Walmart? That says a lot about this man, who started his Walmart career as a cart-pusher. Did you also know he has built an entire Walmart store from the ground up? There is nothing this man cannot do. His work ethic is comparable to none. This has not been an easy decision for us. Walmart has been the only job he has known. Much prayer, thought and consideration has gone into this decision. However, the Lord led us in a different direction, away from Walmart. The Lord has seen fit it is time for Lee to come back to Magee, back to his hometown. Priority One has given Lee an opportunity to spend more time with his family, to watch his daughter grow up and get back involved in the community he so dearly loves. We are so grateful to be blessed in such a way. Thank you, Walmart and our Walmart family, for 21 amazing years! You have been so good to us. We are truly blessed, more than we deserve. We appreciate and love each and every one of you! Walmart will forever have a special place in our hearts. Thank you to Priority One, for this incredible opportunity. We cannot wait to be a part of the Priority One family and embark on our new journey. We cannot wait to build a future with you!”

My Lee Man is going to PriortyOne!!! I am so excited for Lee and for the bank. They have gotten a jewel!

I sure will miss the Walmart stories! But, I am so happy to have you at home in Magee!
