The Scriptural passage for today is found in 1 John 4:19: “We love because He first loved us.” Yes, God is love, and He loved us so much that He sent His only Son to die for us so that we might live eternally with Him. Christ is our example of complete, total, unconditional love. We are to emulate that love as much as is possible. Why, we are admonished to love even our enemies. So, let us strive to be more loving, more Christ-like, more forgiving. Repeat this with me, “I can love because Christ first loved me!” Amen!
