The Scriptural passage chosen for this morning is found in Romans 1:16: “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the gentile.” The apostle often spoke of his personal transformation by the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit. He spent much of his adult life and ministry proclaiming the message of Jesus to all who would listen, unashamedly preaching the Word with boldness and pride. He knew in whom he believed and wanted all people to share this gift of salvation. The message remains the same today. We who have accepted this marvelous gift are to take it and share it with others. The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God! Amen!
