By James Davis
The Scriptural passage for this morning is found in 2 Timothy 1:12: “I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.” Through faith, we believe, and we, as Christians, know that God is faithful and just and will do as He has promised in His infallible Word. And we also know that He will one day welcome us into Heaven to enjoy eternally with Him all the glorious riches stored up for us. “What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see. When I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace. When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land, what a day, glorious day that will be!” I do love that gospel song and sing it more and more often, the older I become and see the day approaching. Thank you, Jesus, for your promises.
Let’s be sure to help uplift others today with the love, joy, and kindness we have within us through Christ Jesus. As I quote so often from the old gospel song, “Let your life so be that all the world may see the joy of serving Jesus with a smile, a bright, shining smile.” Happy Sunday!
