   Howard Wayne Leming, 91 of Braxton, MS passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS. He was born Wednesday, August 5, 1931 in Mississippi.

    Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Harrisville Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Harrisville Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Braxton, Mississippi. Bro. Cecil Hawthorn and Bro. Richard Mayfield will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

   Wayne enjoyed a long career at Knox Glass Bottling Company in Flowood and Continental Can before starting his own Box Business. An avid outdoorsman/hunter he was a longtime member of The Karnac Hunting Club.

   He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hutchins Leming;  parents, Arthur Leming;  mother, Elsie  Renfore Leming;  brothers, Doyle  Leming and James Leming.

   Survivors include his sister-in-law, Charlotte Snook (William) and special friend Dianne Albritton and numerous nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers will be Heath Albritton, Sam Smith, Scooter Knight, Jeff Knight, Dusty Barton, and Dudley Neely.

  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson.
