     “Hold on”
Matthew 24:13 -He that Endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
I recently preached a message along these lines titled ” The Tight Rope” which demonstrated the journey from the point we received Jesus Christ as our Savior until we enter Heaven.
The first thing I think of when I hear the word tight rope is a rope stretched out over a canyon like in the mountains, which makes it very very challenging and dangerous.
The first thing is the tight rope must be tight from one side to the other which means our relationship with God must be solid. We must be faithful in prayer, Bible reading, and attending church, which requires great sacrifice. We must have a solid relationship with Jesus Christ to keep the slack out of that rope. I don’t know about you but it is hard enough to walk on a tight rope, much less than a loose one.
So here we go, we now have repented and now have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and walking on the tight rope in serving him.         The main thing when walking on that rope is to keep your eyes straight ahead to where you are going. You must remain focused, because one look to either side could throw you off balance.
This is the challenge of being a true child of God, is keeping your eyes on Him and not allowing the things of this world to pull you off course in what God has for you. Sometimes it may be persuasion by family , friends, or the one you are dating. Other times it may be the job that offers you the big money but no time for God. Regardless of what it is, if it gets your mind off your relationship with Jesus, you could fall because of your life being off balance. The Bible says, ” Choose today who you are going to serve.” You either choose to serve God, either you are going to fall to the rocks beneath. Jesus will help you to balance your walk out with Him if you will just keep your eyes on Him.
