History will be made Sunday, January 13, 2019 as Mississippi’s own Sarah Thomas becomes the first female to referee a NFL playoff game between New England and Los Angeles.
Thomas is a resident of Brandon Mississippi and originally from Pascagoula, MS. Thomas has been officiating games for the NFL since 2015.
Thomas was a referee for Conference USA before turning pro and has worked as a refereed for the Little Ceasers Pizza Bowl, for collegiate teams. Thomas also worked in the United Football League games where she was able to work a league championship game.
