Some of us come to our house of worship expecting awesome things from God while others come to hear about the fish that got away or the new truck or car we did not get. When we give our lives to Christ, we become his child what an awesome time that is.
Our devotion today comes from Psalm 100. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God. It is he that hath made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise. Be thankful unto him and bless his name. For the Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting God and his truth endureth to all generations.
Jesus wants us to be a happy people. We are his sheep and he is our shepherd. Be thankful for what you have. Be thankful we are serving a living God. The mercy of Jesus last a lifetime. Do you belong to Jesus? If not come to him right now and pray the sinners prayer. Repent, be filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance, take up your cross, and follow Jesus and serve him. Salvation is so easy a child can do it.
