Hilmon Bynum, 85, of Braxton, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 21st at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was born Sunday, May 6, 1934.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 2:30 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. The Burial will follow in Braxton City Cemetery. Bro. Andy Gipson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Mr. Bynum was a member of Braxton United Methodist Church. He was a loving, devoted, father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend. He will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Edith Bynum; brothers, Basil Bynum, Paul Bynum, and John Bynum.

Survivors include his son, Richard Bynum, Sr. (Connie); daughters, Lynn McRight (Johnny) and Edie Monk (Biff); brothers, Jimmy Ray Bynum, Tommy Bynum, and Bill Bynum; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Richard Bynum, Jr., Daniel Middleton, Steven Middleton, Caleb Monk, Matthew Bynum, and Joseph Gipson.
