Hilda Brown Hester, 63, passed from this life on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

A funeral service for Mrs. Hester will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, with Bro. Mike Carr and Bro. Tom McCorrmick officiating. Burial will follow in Rials Creek Methodist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and continuing Saturday 10:00 AM until service time at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.

Mrs. Hester was born Tuesday, December 04, 1951 in Mississippi. She was V.P. of Energy Operation at MEAM, and also a member of Eastern Star and past worthy matron at William Oliver #176. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Chad Hester (Angela), daughter Sabrina Waller (David), five grandsons, JC Hester, AJ Waller, JW “p-nut” Waller, Trace Roberts, and Taylor Roberts. Two great grandchildren Laney Hewitt and Rhylee Roberts, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Myrl Brown. brothers Billy George Brown and James Louis Brown, and grandson Nick Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Jared Howington, Jim Howington, Mike King , Trace Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Kevin Albritton, and Honorary Pallbearers Mike Brown, Charlie Brown, Tony Thornton and Micky Kelly

Patrice is married to Greg Boykin and they have two sons, Bradley & Alex Boykin. Patrice is a lifetime resident of Simpson County. Patrice retired after 25 years in the Insurance industry where 23 of those years were with State Farm Insurance in Magee. She is very active in the community and has served in several leadership roles. Patrice has been a Secretary for the Magee Touchdown Club for 19 years and President of the MS Scholars of Simpson County. Patrice was a member of the Magee Adopt A School Program. She was elected to a term on the Simpson County School Board. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Magee Chamber of Commerce. She serves on the Keep Magee Beautiful Committee and is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Simpson County Technical Center. Patrice is a member of the Simpson County Republican Executive Committee. Multiple times, Patrice was named Parent of the Year for Magee Schools as well as District Parent of the Year for the Simpson County School District. Patrice & her family are members of New Hope Baptist Church.
