Herbert L. King, 82, passed away August 30, 2017, at his residence. He was born on January 17, 1935, to Hugh King and Violet (Geseman) King.
He was a local farmer and a retired land surveyor.
Herbert is survived by his son, John W. King; daughter, Lorie King; sister, Annette Rushing and one grandchild, Dusty King.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria (Flanagan) King and brother-in-law, Jessie Rushing.
Visitation for friends will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS. Services will be on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Tutor Funeral Home Chapel in Mendenhall at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Roger Lee and Bro. Rodney Anderson officiating. Final resting place will be in King Family Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
