Henry Ford Bishop passed away Friday, March 4, 2016, at the age of 90 years old. He was born on July 27, 1925, to his parents, the late John R. Bishop and Betty (Turner) Bishop of Simpson County.
Mr. Bishop retired from Exxon Oil Company. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Magee.
He is survived by his loving wife, Adean (Moree) Bishop; a daughter, Judy S. Vines (Rudy); one sister, Elsie McAlpin (Arthur) of Magee; two grandchildren, Will Service (Joy), Suzanne Wilkinson (Allen); three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Maggie Knight Taylor (Joe), Mims T. Bishop (Willie Mae), Mary Nel Kennedy (Howard), Audell Williamson (Watts), Dorothy Seay Harris (B. J.), John Bishop, Jr. (Joyce), and Gertrude Knight (Cledus).
Visitation will be, Sunday, March 6, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Magee. Services will be held at First Baptist Church immediate following visitation at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be conducted at Magee City Cemetery. Bro. Buddy Keyes and Bro. Billy John McAlpin will officiate.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Tutor Funeral Home of Magee
