Helping Hands for Shoebox Gifts
On Nov 23 – 25 representatives from eight different churches across Simpson and Covington County traveled to Atlanta Ga. to assist in the next journey of the Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts. These shoeboxes go to children in need, in over 114 countries across the globe to share the love of Jesus.
Atlanta is one of the 8 Processing Centers in the United States and while the group was there, they were able to assist in the processing of 102,000 shoeboxes on Friday and 104,000 on Saturday. It was a busy time, but so rewarding! Those in attendance were from the Simpson Co. Drop- Off Team and the eight county Northern Pine Belt Area Team.
