Helen Millwood Coggin, 85, of Mendenhall, MS died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born Saturday, April 19, 1930 in Belzoni, MS.

She lived with her daughter and son-in-law for four years as she battled this disease. She was loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Chapel in Magee.  Burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery in Magee. Bro. Danny Dickerson will officiate.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorette Lilly Millwood and Jim  Millwood; sister, Bessie  Ainsworth; husband, Thomas Eddie Coggin; husband, Royce J. Mize.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Burnham (Jimmy), Mendenhall; son, Royce Jarrell Mize Jr. (Amy); and sister, Laura Christine Heller; 7 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.
