Heat Stress Continues This Week
Dangerous heat stress conditions are expected today and will persist through Saturday as a prolonged period of hot weather continues. Afternoon heat indices will range from 105-110 degrees for most locations. Heat index values may lower slightly on Saturday but will still approach or exceed 105 degrees for much of the area. Heat exhaustion is likely with prolonged outdoor activity.
Severe Storms Possible Saturday
Isolated strong to severe storms will be possible on Saturday afternoon into the evening as a frontal boundary moves southwest across the area. Damaging wind gusts and isolated hail up to quarter size will be the primary threats.
