The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Zephaniah 3:17: “The Lord your God is with you; He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.” The prophet of old here proclaims to God’s people the love He has for them. He was ever with them, as He is with us, His chosen, today. He promised to save them from the fowler’s snare, just He will do for us today. He loved them, as He does us, and delights in them and us as a father does his children. Let us show our gratitude to God for His munificence by obeying Him and by showing our love for Him in the gentle treatment of our fellow man. Amen!
