By James Davis
The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Psalm 28:6: “Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy.” The psalmist penned beautiful lyrics and stirring poems, praising his Lord and Savior. He experienced a very personal relationship with God and used his voice and writing talent to proclaim his love and appreciation for God’s protection. He knew that God heard and responded to his cries for deliverance. We can do likewise today as Christians and enjoy the same personal relationship with God. Let’s never take for granted our covenant with God, our heavenly Father, our Maker, our Deliverer, and our Rock. Without Him and His righteousness, we have no hope, much like a boat without an oar. He will guide us over the crossing, as the hymn tells us.
Happy Monday! Today, be sure to share the love of God with all with whom you come in contact.
