Hazel Veneal Barnes Cole, 90, of D’Lo, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020, at her home in D’Lo, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, September 4, 1930, in Magee, Mississippi.

Due to Covid-19 the family has made the choice to have a private family burial on Monday, January 4, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the Biloxi National Cemetery, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mrs. Cole was a member of First Baptist Church of D’Lo.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lesley M. Cole; parents, Willie S. Barnes and Jessie Bright Barnes; two brothers, T.J. Barnes and Burnell “Bubba” Barnes.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby D. Cole and wife, Debra of Biloxi, and Craig Cole of D’Lo; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
