Welcome to 2016!!! I can’t believe I am writing or much less thinking that another year is gone…and I mean gone. We can’t get it back…we can’t change anything…but we have, as someone said, a book with 365 pages ready to be filled!

What day is it??? I am so confused during the holidays that I can’t even keep the days straight…I keep thinking tomorrow is Sunday…and then I realize…yea, I have another day to get this upside down house straight!

“Gonna” put a little sugar on it tonight…it being the Sugar Bowl. Can’t wait to see those Rebels take the field…all eyes will be on the sugar! I’m proud of Alabama and MSU…hope the SEC will rule. No, I’m not in New Orleans…I’ll be checking out the Rebels with a bunch of friends…what better way to roll in the New Year than with friends!

Happy 14th Birthday to Larkin!!!

Happy 14th Birthday to Larkin!!!

April 8, 2026

My heart is sad as I think of the Maddox and Cockrell family…they surely didn’t expect their new year to start with such sadness. Again, tell the people you love…that you love them…more and more I see things that change a life in a split second.

For anyone who has lost a child (any age), I have a copy of the Compassionate Friends January Newsletter. The Newsletter has excellent articles for anyone who has suffered the death of a child. I will be glad to send a copy by email to anyone…just emails Sue@mageenews.com and I’ll forward a copy of the letter.

Begin the first page of your 365-page book by doing something for others…make that a priority for everyday of your book.

Enjoy your day!
