As part of its National Hospital Week celebration, Magee General Hospital held its Employee Recognition Ceremony, which concluded with the naming of the Employee of the Year.
Magee General Hospital recognizes employees for years of service
The organization began the ceremony by honoring individuals who have worked for the hospital for noteworthy increments of years. The following individuals were honored: Cathy Putnam for 25 years of service; Natasha Brewer and Cassie Bryant for 20 years; Jonathan Giangrosso and Dennis Cole for 15 years; Brittney Anderson for 10 years and Trey Alderman, Robin Hardin, Amber Hayes, Denise Hinton, Terrell Jaynes, Kristen Johnson, Pat Maddox, Brittany McGovern, Jill Nicholas, Lindsay Renner, Christy Schrader, Cindarita Simmons and Stacey Wells for five years.
These employees each received a pin indicating their accomplishment, that is meant to be worn proudly on their badge.
“We are so grateful to our employees who come to work each day ready to do their job to the best of their ability,” said Magee General Hospital Executive Director, Pam Wallace.
The program concluded with the exciting announcement of Employee of the Year, which was awarded to Haley Lofton, RN.
Haley Loften – Magee General Hospital Employee of the Year
Lofton first began working for MGH in December of 2020. Throughout the past four and a half years Lofton has served as Medical-Surgical supervisor, before recently being named the MDS Coordinator.
Throughout the year, any employee can nominate a peer to be recognized as Employee of the Quarter. One of the four previously recognized Employee of the Quarter winners is chosen by the MGH nomination committee to be Employee of the Year, and this individual is recognized during National Hospital Week.
Lofton was nominated by multiple people who all believed that she deserved recognition for her excellent work ethic and attitude.
Magee General Hospital is grateful for Lofton and the other award recipient’s years of faithful and exceptional service.
