Guest Praises Mississippi Workers, Governor, and Economic Development Agencies on Nissan Announcement

Washington, D.C.  – Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03) released the following statement following the announcement of Nissan’s plans to invest $500 million to expand electrical vehicle manufacturing at the company’s plant located in Madison County.

“For two decades, hard-working Mississippians have produced quality products at the Nissan plant. As Americans begin buying more electric vehicles, it makes sense that Nissan would bring this production to a plant that can meet the growing demand. I’m proud they’ve chosen Mississippi, and I want to congratulate Governor Tate Reeves, the Mississippi Development Authority, Madison County Economic Development Authority, and the Madison County Board of Supervisors for their hard work to make this project possible,” Congressman Michael Guest said.
