Congratulations to Col. Milton Griffith, Jr. on his recent promotion. Milton is the son of Ted and Gladys Blakeney and the late Milton Griffith, Sr. Milton is married to the former Kim Lang of Magee and they have 3 children, Anna Beth, Nathan and Natalie.
Milton is a graduate of Magee High School and began his Military Career in 1986 with Company C, 106th Forward Support Battalion located right here in Magee, MS.
Milton completed officer school as well as earning a Bachelor’s degree from Bellhaven College, Master’s degree from William Carey College and the completion of the US Army War College at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Milton has also received several awards throughout his career which include a Bronze Star Medal, Two Meritorious Service Medals, two National Defense Service Medals, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Humanitarian Service Medal as well as other federal and state commendations and service awards.
Milton is an employee of the US Property of Fiscal Office for Mississippi located in Flowood where he serves as the Chief of Contracting.
