Sunday, February 8th at 4:00 PM a gathering for people who are dealing with grief will be held at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center. This meeting is not just for FBC members…it is not just for Baptist…it is not just for older people…the gathering is for anyone who is dealing or has dealt with a life alternating event in their life.

Often, when we are in the “battle” with grief, we don’t want to listen or even talk to anyone. We want to stay in our bed…stay in our house…stay in our own world…we don’t want life to even go on. But, life does go on…and learning to cope with the deep pain of grief is tough.

Following the death of my middle son, I told my close friends if another person gave me a book I was going to throw it at them! No book was going to bring Larkin back…no book was going to ease the pain…but..in time I learned there were “things” that could help me walk the walk.

“A Season of Grief “ begins Sunday. Becky Johns is the facilitator of the group. Becky recently lost her mother. Please come…please bring a friend…please tell everyone. Let us help one another. Find hope in the midst of your loss
