Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee for Gretna Carolyn Bishop, 77, of Mount Olive who passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Arrington Living Center in Collins.
Reverend David Chandler will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Jones Cemetery in Mize.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Bishop, a Smith County native, was a retired supervisor for Arnold’s Apparel.  She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton Jones and Christine Robinson Jones Jaco; and one son, David Bishop.
Survivors include two sons, Hamilton Bishop and his wife, Kathleen of Red Wing, Minnesota and Greg Bishop and his wife, Doris Jane of Mount Olive; one sister, Ann Donohoe of Pearl; one brother, Johnnie Jones, and his wife, Juanice of Crystal Springs; six grandchildren, Lt. Josh Bishop, Andrew Bishop, Sadie Bishop, Haley Yates, Melissa Bishop Carley, and Kathy Bishop; and three great-grandchildren, Gabe Bishop, Michael Carley, and Milee Carley.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.  Family and friends may sign an online guest book at www. colonialchapelmageemendenhall.com
