The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 1 Corinthians 16:25: “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; He is to be feared above all gods.” It sounds like words from an anthem, doesn’t it? I’m sure the words have been used many times in countless anthems. Regardless, within these times words, praise is given freely and openly to God, the God above all other gods. The apostle encouraged the early Christians to acknowledge God’s role of supremacy in their lives. For the believer, recognition is key. For the average person, not so. It is the duty of all Christians to reflect God’s exalted position in our lives. As I so often do, in closing, I’ll use words from a favorite gospel song: “Let your life so be that all the world may see the joy of serving Jesus with a smile, a bright, shining smile.” Share that smile today with all with whom you come in contact. Amen!
Happy Tuesday!
