Grady Lester Purvis, 92, of Magee, passed from this life Sunday November 1, 2015 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee. Bro. Danny Dickerson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Mr. Purvis is survived by: Daughter – Susan Rankin (Kenneth) of Magee; Sons – James Purvis of Pearl and Aaron Purvis (Anita) of Florence; Daughter – Carolyn Johnson of Atlanta, GA; Sister – Ella Mae Davis of Greenville, MS; grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Purvis is preceded in death by: Wife – Nell Davis Purvis; Parents – Ed and Ethel Purvis; Brothers – Emmett and Grover Purvis; Son – Stephen Lester Purvis.
