The Scriptural passage for today is found in Proverbs 16:24: “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” The true impact of what we say can never be fully measured, but we do know that words can hurt, damage, and destroy, or they can uplift, comfort, and assure. We should be well-aware at all times of what we say and how we say it. Our tone and delivery are of utmost importance. Raised voices only add to anger, chaos, and confusion. A well-modulated and gracious voice assures the speaker that the message will not only be heard, but also will be received as intended. Let us be about “healing to the bones and the very soul” with our words. Amen!
Today, let’s share the love of God with all with whom we come in contact.
